The Alfred Wegener Institute, the Institute for Environmental Physics and the Jacobs University started a series of common seminars, enhancing the interaction between the three institutions. Each semester, a one-day's "Blockseminar" is hold, giving scientists and PhD-students the opportunity to show their results to a recent common topic.
