PhD-project title: Detecting Climate Change in Massive Multi-Dimensional Data Sets
Abstract:
Vast amounts of scientific data is gathered daily by various satelites, sensors, simulations, and further stored in array databases. In my research I work on establishing efficient algorithms for sorting such multi-dimensional array data substantially larger than main memory, which is useful when processing and analyzing it, but missing from the currently available scientific databases.
